Wander, Breathe, Create: July in the Making
Hello July :)
June gave me the gift of slowing down. With my youngest on school holidays, I took time off to be fully present with her, enjoying the slower mornings, shared meals, and a little everyday moments that often slip by unnoticed during busier times.
I also travelled to Vietnam with my family, and it turned out to be just what we needed. Hoi An was charming with its lantern-lit streets, the coastlines of Da Nang were absolutely stunning, and the crisp air up in Ba Na Hills was a welcome refresh. It was a chance to step outside of routine, take in a new scenery, and reconnect with ourselves.
At the same time, behind the scenes, something else was quietly taking shape.
Over the past few months, I've been working on a new collection - one that draws from my love of organic forms found in architecture and the subtle rhythms of the natural world. The collection wasn't sparked by a single moment, but rather grew slowly, piece by piece, through sketches, wax carving, and experimentation at the bench.
And as it started to come together, I noticed a theme emerging - wave-like curves, flowing edges, a sense of gentle motion. When I found myself standing by the sea in Da Nang, watching and swimming in the tide rolling in and out, it felt like a quiet affirmation of the direction my work had already begun to take. The collection now feels like a continuation of that flow - of thought, of form, of feeling.
This July, I'm deep in the process - carving wax models, refining details, and preparing to bring these new pieces to life in metal and gemstones. The studio is humming with a quiet energy, and I'm looking forward to sharing the Wave collection by the end of the month.
It's exciting to see how inspiration unfolds - not always in a flash, but gradually, through observation, memory, and moments of stillness.
Wherever you are this month, I hope you are finding your own rhythm too - whether through rest, movement or creating something that feels meaningful to you.
With warmth,
Stephanie
